Candida and Sugar

Most health professionals agree that the number one factor in the overgrowth of candida is too much sugar. The average amount of sugar eaten today is about 100 times what was eaten 100 years ago. And even then most of the sugar came from fruits and vegetables and a little bit of honey.

Sugar isn't the only cause of candida. It's followed closely by the overuse of antibiotics and substances that suppress the immune system.

Candida and Digestion

If you have candida, your digestive system is compromised. The balance of microorganisms normally present in a healthy digestive system is disturbed. That is why the candida continues to proliferate and to be present in a greater proportion than is normal.

In order to restore balance to your digestive system and to heal your digestive system, you must increase the friendly organisms and reduce the unfriendly organisms.

By restoring this balance, you will not totally eliminate the candida microorganism. It is an essential part of your digestive tract. When you have a problem with candida, it has just multiplied to an extent that it is in far greater supply than is healthy.

The object here is to restore the normal balance of all the microorganisms in your digestive tract. This is where ThreeLac is extremely helpful.

Constipation: Candida's Constant Companion

If you're constipated, there's a very good chance that you may have candida. What does it mean to be constipated? If your bowels move less than once a day, you ARE constipated. Ideally, they should move three times a day, within a few hours after every meal.

Constipation isn't just an inconvenience. It has serious effects on your health. When you're not eliminating regularly, toxins are reabsorbed back into your system. Your system is being poisoned and the environment for disease is created.

Other contributing factors include:
  • a diet high in processed, refined, low fiber, cooked foods - find out what foods are healthy to eat
  • not drinking adequate amounts of good pure water - divide your body weight by 2 and that is the minimum number of ounces of water you need per day - if you weigh 128 pounds, you need 64 ounces or 1/2 gallon of good pure water a day
  • not getting adequate amounts of regular exercise

Things You Can Do To Prevent Candida - Part 3

Continued from "... Part 2"...
  • Avoid silver amalgam fillings. Instead, ask for ceramic. If you already have a mouthful of silver fillings, or even just a few, you might want to consider having them replaced with ceramic fillings by a holistic dentist experienced in the protocol for removing mercury fillings. You'll get better results from a dentist who has training and experience in this area. Remember, not all dentists believe that these fillings cause health problems. And of those who do, not all have been trained in the proper protocol.
  • Avoid consuming processed foods. They're deficient in the enzymes that are so vital for your body, to absorb and utilize the nutrients that it needs. They're also nutrient deficient, even with the added synthetic vitamins and minerals.
  • Avoid products containing sugar. Sugar feeds the yeast and helps it to proliferate. If you crave sugar, it may be because of the overagrowth of the candida and it's what the organism needs to maintain its hold on you. Using ThreeLac 3 times a day will help curb those cravings.
  • Skip the soft drinks. Not only do they contribute to the candida problem, they also contribute to osteoporosis, obesity and diabetes. The diet soft drinks are just as bad, if not worse because the artificial sweeteners used to replace sugar are harmful. Click here to find out more about artificial sweeteners.

Many doctors refuse to acknowledge that candida even exists. Yet there are others who believe that up to 89% of the U.S. population is affected.

Candida exhibits a great variety of symptoms, making it difficult to diagnose. Many people who are affected run the gamut of practitioners and tests before finally getting the candida diagnosis.

Candida is part of the normal intestinal flora, and in a healthy person is not problematic. However in an individual with a weak immune system, it proliferates to an unhealthy level and causes a multitude of symptoms.
